” The Chedi is a haven of modern zen luxury and calm. It sounds weird but this place has a chilled vibe without being precious or pretentious. Muted tones, a modern bright outlook, a welcoming strawberry iced tea and everything magically gifted without fuss or formality from the moment you breeze in. The reception lobby-lounge begs you to sit and soak up the panoramic marina view… and breath!
The marina is a touch of class itself, with gorgeous boats, cool little boutiques and a welcome choice of restaurants and cafes that supplement the hotels own uber-cool facilities. The staff are to die for! On it for every little detail, enriched with a personable smile and the perfect balance of totally attentive yet inobtrusive service. When you arrive here you know you’ve landed. Detail and calm efficient courtesy matters and the personality of the staff and exemplary training wasn’t lost on me or the family.
The hotel sits amid spotless private villas and apartments, the infinity pool and beach club have a family welcome also without the crowds and even though we were there mid-summer – you would never know it. Even the standard rooms are a modern and spacious welcoming space, the ocean views life-affirming, the towels fluffy and the aircon perfectly tuned. The cocktails are exquisite, and let’s face it, no great story ever started with a salad! Although, it has to be said, the salads were pretty awesome too!
This is a healthy place for both body and soul and somehow, the sky is bluer and the sea warmer than everywhere else. The border queue by road into Montenegro can be a bit hit & miss if you fly in via Dubrovnik so in high season I’d recommend flying direct into Tivat.” ~ James & Karen
