Lying on the tranquil west coast of Barbados, this intimate resort boasts a peaceful ambience set back a short distance from the road. It’s not far from the shops and restaurants of Holetown; for more shopping visit the Limegrove luxury shopping centre – just half a mile away. Two championship golf courses, Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane Country Club, are within a mile and a half from the hotel; and you can reach Bridgetown, the island’s historic capital city, in just over seven miles.
“Coral Reef club is a beautiful family owned resort and it feels just like a home. The owners parents bought the home back in the 50’s and there’s a lot of love put into the hotel, you really feel it when you get there. It’s got a beautiful grand lobby that opens up to a lovely bar and seating area. It’s an award winning luxury five star boutique hotel and we could really see why. It’s set on 12 acres with the most beautiful gardens that we had the pleasure to wonder around. It’s got very traditional accommodation from junior suites to plantation suites and luxury suites. With a few named villas that you can stay in on request only. We were informed that people return year and year again due to falling in love with the property. The restaurants had a menu that changed daily, serving all the finest Caribbean dishes wit ha little European twist. The two tennis courts were a lovely feature with a pro tennis player that goes in every week to teach tennis lessons to guests. The beach was golden with a large range of water sports and is a brilliant spot to find turtles. It was one of our favourites when visiting Barbados. ” ~ Josie & katie
What you need to know
- Garden Room / Cottage : Garden Rooms and Cottages each consisting of king size or twin bedded room, bathroom (the majority having shower only, no bath) and patio or balcony. These rooms/cottages are garden view and can accommodate two adults.
- Superior / Luxury Junior Suite : Junior Suite style accommodation consisting of a large king size or twin bedded room with sitting area within bedroom, luxurious bathroom with separate shower and tub and a large patio or balcony.
- Luxury Cottage / Suite : Cottages on the ground floor or suites on the first floor consisting of a king or twin bedded room, dressing area, en-suite bathroom with separate shower and tub, air-conditioned living room with sofa bed, large patio and private plunge pool.
- Luxury Plantation Suite : The five Luxury Plantation Suites consist of a bedroom with four poster or canopied bed, spacious living room with TV, dressing area and a large bathroom with a walk-in-shower and separate tub, all air-conditioned.

One Villa - Villas : Enjoy the comfort and privacy of a villa with all the sporting facilities, amenities and entertainment of a luxury hotel. Choose from Tamarind featuring 3 doubles and 2 bathrooms or Ixora with 4 doubles, 3 bathrooms and 1 en suite shower room.
- The Restaurant : Overlooking the calm Caribbean sea on Barbados’ West Coast, this is outdoor dining at its best. The elegant Coral Reef restaurant features daily changing a la carte menus, offering choices of fresh seafood and dishes combining classical cuisine with Caribbean ingredients and flavours. Executive Chef, Hance Bannister, heads a team of professional chefs with experience in some of the finest European and Caribbean restaurants.
- Bar : A beautiful open air bar featuring classic furniture and pretty fabrics that express a stylish Caribbean vibe. Opening onto the seafront on the west, it is also a casual yet cool location for those looking for sundowners and a glimpse of the elusive green flash on a clear evening.
- Entertainment : There is live entertainment every evening during the winter and certain evenings per week during the summer. Calypso, steel band, jazz, piano, reggae etc. Thursday nights there is a full choice Barbecue serving fillet and sirloin steaks, marinated breast of chicken, pork ribs, lamb chops, pork sausages, beef burgers, jumbo prawns, fresh catch of the day and fish kebabs.
- The Spa : The Spa which is located at our sister hotel Coral Reef Barbados is housed within a beautiful colonial inspired building with clean, modern lines, set within a tropical garden paradise. Exotic vegetation and waterfalls weave throughout the spa, from the four multipurpose treatment rooms, each with its own private foot ritual patio and garden, to the Outdoor Pavilion for couples. The scene is set for unparalleled natural beauty and tranquility.
- Golf : Sandy Lane has a luxury golf resort in the Caribbean that offers some of the best golf in the world, with three golf courses, The Old Nine, The Country Club and the world-renowned Green Monkey.
- Water-sports : The crystalline waters and sandy beach are the perfect setting for a wonderful day. Guests can enjoy complimentary non-motorised water-sports such as Hobie Cat and Laser sailing, Kayaking, Paddle Boarding and snorkelling.
- Tennis : There are two tennis courts which are lit for night play.
- Gardens : Splendid shades of flowering Bougainvillea hang from the terraces of the rooms and suites overlooking these peaceful gardens. In this glorious tropical setting of Orchid trees and mature swaying Coconut trees, one can stroll along the footpaths and admire the beauty of the travellers palm which welcomes all visitors with its large fan-shaped arms.
- Gym : The Gym is equipped with Life Fitness machines: elliptical trainers, cross trainers, tread mills, leg extension, chest press, stair master, upright bike, recumbent bike, abdominal crunch bench, ab and back trainer, dual adjustable pulley, benches and free weights.
- Pools : There is a mosaic tiled pool as well as a 60 foot lap slate pool. The Tree Top Suites have their own plunge pools.
- Boutique : Visit the Casual Boutique for stylish resort wear and gifts.
- Baby Sitting : Babysitting is available with a minimum of three hours
- Baby Equipment : At no additional charge: cribs, high chairs, child bed guards, play pens, hot plates, bottle sterilising tablets, children’s books, baby monitors, crib mosquito nets and kettles.
- Family Programme : A special family program for children between the ages of 2 and 12 years. Three half hour sailing trips with the water-sports team and three half hour swimming lessons per week are available.
- Sports : Older children will enjoy the complimentary non-motorised water-sports including snorkelling, kayaking, Laser and Hobie Cat sailing and paddle boarding. They may also enjoy the daily tennis clinic with our resident Tennis Pro.
- Family Accommodation : Family rooms available.
- Family Dining : Children’s room service dinner is available between 5.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m.
