About this trip

Explore the Icelandic countryside and its volcanic landscapes during the day, followed by a chance to witness the Northern Lights in the remote areas away from city lights. To optimise your chances, we’ll accommodate you in traditional cabins along the River Ranga for two nights. As night falls, venture to the ridges of the Helka volcano and the black beaches of the south coast for the best viewing spots. Our knowledgeable guides will provide insights into the aurora borealis and recommend prime locations for viewing. During the day, embark on various adventures such as an easy hike across Sólheimajökull glacier, visit a geothermal greenhouse to learn about Iceland’s salad cultivation, or interact with Iceland’s famous ponies at a horse farm.
