Introduction

Alexandra Baldi (Yoga) and Lizi Taylor (Pilates) will lead this half-yoga, half-pilates retreat from April 20-24, 2022. Unwind and experience yoga and pilates classes twice daily, three meals plus an afternoon snack prepared by an experienced chef, meditation classes, direct access to a beach and a swimming pool, access to additional excursions and adventures around the island, and the perfect environment to connect with like-minded individuals and to find inner stillness against a beautiful island backdrop.

Its charm is continued within, from the plush interiors of Murano Restaurant to the tranquil Library Bar terrace which looks out to a water feature that’s peppered with tea lights at night. As you might expect in these luxurious surroundings, the service is exemplary. There’s a 20-metre infinity lap pool for morning swims overlooking the bay, four pools at the Regent Pool Club Residences and guests also receive a discount for entry to the stylish Yacht Club just a few minutes’ walk away, where its über-cool pool stretches out right over the water (at extra cost).

Back at the hotel, dining is decadent­­. There’s a patisserie counter of tempting fruit tarts and macarons and a light savoury menu at Gourmet Corner, or you can sink into an armchair with a drink and soak up the Library Bar’s sophisticated vibe. Meals are served at the graceful Murano Restaurant with dishes showcasing regional seafood like calamari straight from the Adriatic Sea.

Alexandra Baldi (@yoga_by_alexandra) is a 200 hour RYT certified vinyasa yoga instructor and the founder of Compass Chelsea.

For 10 years, Alexandra battled with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and through yoga, she found a natural and sustainable lifestyle to help her manage it.

Alexandra’s goal is to help people discover that with healthy eating and the principles of mindfulness, breath, and love, they too can create a lifestyle that is tailored and personal to them. She believes these elements can help shift one’s life and mindset. Above all, Alexandra encourages you to recognise your self-worth, because once you let go of the negativity you can step into your own power and practice self-love; because if you can’t love yourself, then how can you spread love to others?

lizi taylor (pilates)

Lizi Taylor (@ltmovement) is a qualified Pilates teacher from London and the founder of LT Movement.

Lizi hopes to inspire others with movement, breath, and connection. Her Pilates classes are designed for anyone and everyone and features movements to strengthen, lengthen, tone, and restore from head to toe.

When you join her on the mat, you can expect to feel that pilates burn we all know and love, to feel challenged, to feel your very best, and to find your inner strength.

Dining

All three daily meals and afternoon snacks will be prepared by the chef, Rosie Llewellyn. These delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals are made with only the freshest ingredients available. There will be no alcohol served except on the last evening when the White Party is held.

What To Expect

Etosoto Formentera is a boutique resort that strives to create a luxurious and eco-friendly experience for the new, free, and creative generations. Formentera is a timeless island situated in the Mediterranean Sea. It’s known for its clear waters and long stretches of beach, backed by dunes and pine trees. At the time of this retreat, you can expect warm afternoons but cooler mornings and evenings so make sure to pack layers!

Details of the retreat

  • This retreat will alternate between sunrise yoga and sunset pilates classes.
  • Three meals plus an afternoon snack will be prepared by the chef, Rosie Llewellyn. All meals are vegetarian. No alcohol except on the last evening.
  • There will be a white party on the last evening with drinks! Bring at least one set of white clothing. 
  • The resort offers direct access to the beach and has a swimming pool. Daily cleaning service is also offered.
  • You will receive a goody bag full of health, wellness, and athletic goods.
  • Excursions are available at additional costs but will need to be pre-booked for you by Lizi or Alexandra. Examples include horseback riding, massages, paddle boarding, and mud baths. Please reach out to confirm as the activities are subject to seasonal availability.
