Not only is the NC500 one of the world’s best road trips, but it’s also one of the most beautiful. While the North Coast 500 is an experience in itself, you’ll also find plenty of adventures to be had along the way.
 
From exploring the interior of the route, to bagging a Munro; snorkelling, white water rafting, canoeing, hiking and camping expeditions; meditation retreats, creel fishing and gourmet foodie experiences; to pottery-making, whisky tasting, tracing your family tree, and even gold panning – there really is something for everyone along the North Coast 500.

Edinburgh -1 Night

With the city’s skyline, cobbled streets and colourful characters as your backdrop, you will make some amazing memories here.

Inverness – 1 Night

A compact, cosmopolitan city with a lot of heart, and all the wonders of the Highlands on its doorstep… a pretty fine combination!

Isle of Skye – 1 Night

Skye is one of the top locations in Scotland to visit. It is famous for its scenery and landscapes that will take your breath away.

Gairloch – 1 Night

Situated on the shore of Loch Gairloch amongst the awe-inspiring scenery of Wester Ross, Gairloch offers a wealth of spectacular scenery and activities for visitors.

Ullapool – 1 Night

Ullapool offers an excellent variety of accommodation and camping in the Highlands of Scotland surrounded by outstanding scenery, wildlife and culture.

Tongue – 1 Night

The village of Tongue is overlooked by the 14th-century ruins of Varick Castle, and there’s a great beach at Coldbackie, two miles northeast.
