Why we love this !

There are hotels, and then there are experiences. Badrutt’s Palace falls squarely into the latter.

Nestled in the heart of St. Moritz, this grande dame of the Swiss Alps is as legendary as the town itself. With its fairytale façade, snow-dusted peaks, and shimmering lake views, it’s easy to see why this place has been drawing in the jet set for over a century.

Walking through its grand entrance feels like stepping into another world—a world where old-school glamour meets effortless luxury. Inside, the legendary Le Grand Hall (affectionately known as the “living room of St. Moritz”) is the perfect spot to settle in, sip a drink, and watch the world go by. If you’re lucky, you might even catch the pianist playing a slow, sultry rendition of Springsteen’s I’m on Fire.

I had the absolute pleasure of staying in the Beau Rivage Suite, and let me tell you—this was a suite with a view. From my private balcony, I had front-row seats to the breathtaking Engadin Valley, and even the bathtub came with a showstopping panorama. The interiors strike the perfect balance between classic and contemporary, giving off that “luxury ski chalet meets elegant European retreat” vibe.

Beyond the stunning rooms, Badrutt’s is a paradise for food lovers. With more than a dozen restaurants and bars, you can dine on everything from Japanese-Peruvian fusion under a dazzling glass dome to rustic Italian in a 17th-century farmhouse. And if you fancy an after-dinner drink in a setting that oozes old-world charm, the hotel’s off-lobby bar—with its red velvet banquettes and the faint scent of expensive cigars—is the place to be. Looking for something a little more up beat – then just head to the kings social club!

Then there’s the spa. And oh, what a spa it is. Reaching it feels like a hidden adventure—you take an elevator down to the lowest level of the hotel, where the doors open to a dimly lit, cave-foyer. But the real magic happens in the pool area. With floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the surrounding peaks, you genuinely feel like you’ve stepped into a snow globe. With everything from salt rooms, outside saunas, mist rooms, cold plunges and so much more.

Badrutt’s Palace isn’t just a hotel; it’s an institution. It’s history, beauty, comfort, and service wrapped into one unforgettable stay. And despite its undeniable glamour, there’s nothing pretentious about it. If you’re here, you belong.

And trust me, once you’ve experienced Badrutt’s, you’ll be counting down the days until you can return.” ~ Amy
