- Fly To Bergen : Fly from the UK to Bergen and transfer to the city centre where you’ll spend the first night of your Norwegian adventure. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
- Set Sail With Havila : Today, explore Bergen. We recommend a stroll through Bryggen, Bergen’s atmospheric Hanseatic old town located on the harbour front, where you can also find some of the freshest seafood around at the Torget Fish Market. There are plenty of museums on offer, or escape the city on the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for sweeping views of the fjord-side city and the seven mountains that famously surround it. Board your Havila ship in the evening.
- Floro To Molde : After the first night on board, you can start your day by waving to the Havila Voyages headquarters just off Torvik. Sail into Ålesund, renowned for its art nouveau architecture with beautiful brick houses and warehouses. In the summer, you can continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Geiranger Fjord, which has steep mountainsides and dramatic waterfalls.
- Kristiansund To Rorvik :Explore Trondheim, Norway’s 3rd largest city and formal capital. Perhaps pop into one of the many museums or galleries, or visit the impressive Nidaros Cathedral which is the largest medieval building in Scandinavia. Other sites of note are the Archbishop’s Palace which houses the crown jewels and Stiftsgarden, the oldest wooden palace in Scandinavia.
- Bronnoysund To Svolvaer : On this stretch, we mark crossing the Arctic Circle with a ceremony and continue onward into the Arctic regions. It means midnight sun in the summer, while winter days are merely a shade less dark than night-time and, possibly, Northern Lights in the evenings. Nature is powerful with northern Scandinavia’s largest glacier, the world’s strongest tidal current and encounters with the majestic sea eagle. In the evening, Lofoten’s fishing villages, steep mountains and Vikings await.
- Stokmarkness To Skervoy : The voyage continues on through narrow fjords and past wild mountains to Tromsø, a city characterised by hunting and fishing, polar expeditions and courage. Now you have also reached the land of the Sami, Norway’s indigenous people.
- Oksfjord To Berlevag : As far north as you can get – by land and sea. For many, the visit to the North Cape is a high point and a goal for voyages along the Norwegian coast. Up here in the polar landscape, nature is at its harshest and most desolate, but between bare plains and rugged cliffs people cling on and reap nature’s bounty.
- Batsfjord To Kirkenes : You are now as far east on your voyage as you can go. Say goodbye to the ship and take your transfer to check-in to the Snow Hotel , Kirkenes for one night.
