Vestige Son Vell ~ Menorca

A Clutch Of Luxurious Suites

Son Vell Menorca

200 hectares of beauty await

Ensconced in rippling countryside close to the sparkling coast, yet only 20-minutes from historic Ciutadella, Son Vell rises from the land as a symbol of Menorcan elegance and beauty. The original 18th-century Manor House resides in quiet harmony alongside a series of traditional agricultural buildings fanning out across the estate. Having undergone a meticulous restoration, the hotel now comprises a clutch of luxurious suites in both the main house and the old barns. On the fringe of the estate’s 180 hectares are fertile fields and a working farm as well as landscaped gardens, citrus trees, olive groves and an organic vegetable garden. You’re a ten-minute walk from palm-fringed Cala Son Vell and the centuries-old Camí de Cavalls borders the estate; this ancient route strung along the coastline delivers you to hidden beaches, pine-scented forests and rocky cliff-faces.

Why we love Vestige Son Vell!

“I have recently stayed at the Vestige Son Vell Hotel in Menorca courtesy of Kirker Holidays. This is a new hotel to their portfolio and is a credit to Menorca. Quite possibly one of the most beautiful hotels that I’ve had the privilege to experience.

The hotel is situated approximately 20 minutes from Ciutadella and set in a beautifully restored 18th-century manor house surrounded by 180 hectares of stunning countryside. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing personalised recommendations and always available to assist with any requests.

My room was elegant and comfortable, featuring thoughtful touches like complimentary mini-bar and an amazing sunken bathtub.

The hotel offers a range of amenities including an outdoor swimming pool, two restaurants, and free WiFi throughout the property. The yoga sessions in the serene hotel grounds were a perfect way to start each day. The hotel also offers bikes allowing you to ride down to the beach in around 5 minutes.

The hotel’s design is a perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. The interiors are tastefully done, and the renovation has retained the building’s original elegance while incorporating contemporary comforts. The pool area was a highlight, providing a tranquil setting to relax and enjoy the sunny weather.

For dining, the on-site restaurants, Restaurante Vermell and Restaurante Sa Clarisa, serve excellent Mediterranean cuisine in a modern and romantic ambiance. While we mainly enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both meals were a gastronomy experience.

Overall, Vestige Son Vell exceeded my expectations. It’s the perfect destination for couples looking for a luxurious and peaceful retreat on the beautiful island of Menorca.” ~ Josie
