Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Maun.

Upon arriving in Maun, you will be met by your expert guide and embark on a scenic flight to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, followed by a 4×4 safari transfer. Your camp will already be prepared by the dedicated crew, ensuring a seamless start to your wilderness adventure. That afternoon, set off on your first game drive through the diverse landscapes of the reserve, where you may encounter herds of elephants roaming the mopane woodlands, catch a glimpse of a tawny eagle soaring overhead, or observe the distinctive southern yellow-billed hornbill among the trees. This exclusive camp will serve as your base for the next three nights.

Spend your days exploring the Okavango Delta’s extraordinary ecosystem, a mosaic of waterways, floodplains, and acacia woodlands. Safari drives provide the opportunity to witness an astonishing array of wildlife, from the African fish eagle and the elusive Pel’s fishing owl to the rare slaty egret. On your second day, with a touch of luck, you may spot a leopard reclining beneath the broad branches of a sausage tree. Upon returning to camp, a beautifully prepared brunch awaits, crafted by your camp chef using fresh, locally sourced ingredients—many of which are cooked over an open fire, adding an authentic touch to this immersive safari experience.

This morning, embark on a leisurely drive northeast through the Moremi Game Reserve toward the pristine Mababe Concession, your home for the next three nights. With only 20 vehicles permitted within this vast private reserve at any given time, the wilderness remains largely undisturbed, offering an intimate safari experience. Upon arrival, settle into camp before taking to the water for a tranquil mokoro excursion, gliding through the serene, reed-lined channels that surround your remote retreat.

The following days are dedicated to exploring the diverse landscapes of the Mababe Concession, renowned for its thriving herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, and various antelope species. Being outside the national park allows for the unique opportunity to embark on night drives, where you can scan the darkness with a spotlight in search of elusive nocturnal predators. Walking safaris offer yet another perspective, immersing you in the finer details of the bush. On your final day in Mababe, venture deeper into the reserve, where your expert guide can take the vehicle off-road in search of the region’s apex predators. With luck, you may witness a leopard slinking through the undergrowth, a cheetah scanning the horizon, or a pride of lions resting in the shade—all part of the untamed beauty that defines this extraordinary corner of Botswana.

After breakfast, you will have a morning safari on your way to the airstrip, where you will be met by your light aircraft for the flight back to Maun. In Maun, you will board your onward flight to Kasane. Upon arrival, a representative from your lodge will be waiting for you and any other passengers and take you to your lodge in Chobe National Park. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the chance to head out on an afternoon or evening safari.

Chobe National Park is renowned for being home to tens of thousands of elephants, which you are sure to encounter on your sunrise safari. Later in the day, you will have a chance to get a different prerogative while on a boating safari. From this unique vantage point, you will be at eye-level with the park’s larger animals while getting to see birds like the sacred ibis and hunting for fish.

By now, your time in the bush has honed your skills in tracking and interpreting wildlife signs, setting the stage for an immersive morning walking safari. Led by your expert guide, you’ll tread carefully through the wilderness, observing the finer details of the ecosystem. Later, step into the heart of local culture with a visit to the village of Mabele, where you’ll gain insight into daily life. Learn the traditional process of brewing sorghum beer and try your hand at making pap from maize, a staple of the local diet. As the day winds down, embark on an afternoon game drive, culminating in a breathtaking sundowner experience, complete with refreshing drinks and expertly prepared snacks against the backdrop of the African sunset.

You can choose to spend your final morning on a walk, a wildlife drive, or relaxing at the lodge. After breakfast, you and other guests will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your onward flight.
