All the things you need to know
Start your holiday with an overnight flight to Victoria Falls via Johannesburg.
Arrive in Victoria Falls and transfer to your chosen hotel for a three night stay. Vic Falls town is still authentically African, with wildlife sometimes roaming the streets and is an exciting first stop on your adventures. The walkways on the Zimbabwe side of the Falls can be explored independently or with a guide, to marvel at the cascading water. Take a river cruise at sunset or a thrilling helicopter flight for the ultimate aerial view of the Falls. Ask your African Pride consultant about the full range of experiences on offer.
Today you will be transferred by road across the border into Botswana. The Chobe National Park is famous for the large herds of elephants that come to the river and offers exciting game drives and opportunities to view wildlife by boat. Muchenje’s position just outside the western edge of the park allows for additional activities such as bush walks and night drives. The perfect introduction to a Botswana safari.
It’s time to head to the renowned Okavango Delta, to experience the safari activities that make Botswana truly unique. The light aircraft transfer is an adventure itself, providing a bird’s eye view of the shifting waterways below. Get up close and personal with the wildlife with safari activities on foot and by boat, and relax as you silently drift amongst the waterlilies in a mokoro (dug out canoe). Spend 3 nights exploring the wilderness from a vantage point few are lucky enough to savour.
A light aircraft flight will take you to the Moremi Game Reserve for 3 nights. Considered Botswana’s jewel in the crown, the protected reserve at Moremi is a spectacular mix of land and water and home to some of the finest game viewing experiences in the world. The scenery is truly stunning, where predators roam amongst the channels and colourful birds soar overhead. Camps offer a variety of game drives and water-based activities depending on location and season.
It’s time to wave goodbye to Botswana, with one last exciting light aircraft flight back to Maun. Connect onto a flight back to Johannesburg then to an overnight flight back to the UK.
