Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos

Ahead of our daughter leaving for university we wanted to have a family holiday that would be something to remember so we asked Meon Valley Travel to put together an itinerary to tie together some key locations in Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. Because there was five of us, including two teenagers and one eleven-year old, we wanted a mix of structured trips with free time when we wanted it and be based in small local hotels, to get a real feel for the countries we visited. Very quickly Meon Valley Travel came back with a schedule that was not only on-budget but very creative and well thought through, needing very little adjustment. They also supplied us with a full set of helpful advice about visas and local conditions, and recommendations as to other options to consider once in-country

The trip completely exceeded our expectations in every way – from the highly-knowledgeable, experienced and discreet local guides, to the efficient transportation, and the friendly boutique hotels. Every day offered new and engaging experiences; the amazing temples of Ankor Wat in Cambodia, the mad streets of Saigon, the beauty of the sunset at Halong Bay in Vietnam, the three-day stay with villagers in the hills of Laos, the serenity of the elephant sanctuary in northern Thailand, to name a few. We felt challenged at times but always in the knowledge that we were in safe hands. We had the time of our lives and a family adventure we will always remember.
